The day before, ATMs of the Bank of Ireland made an unexpected gift to its customers, giving out a thousand euros even to those who did not have such an amount on their account.
According to The Telegraph, queues formed near such ATMs and some ATMs were taken into protective custody by security forces. A similar situation was observed in Dublin, Limerick and Dunkolk.
Representatives of the Bank of Ireland emphasized that funds, in case of cash withdrawal or transfer, will still be written off from the client's account, even if they were not enough, in connection with which such an operation will become overdraft.
