On Wednesday, June 15, Italian energy company Eni received a notice from Russia's Gazprom to reduce its natural gas supplies by 15 percent.

On Thursday, 16 June, the Austrian oil and gas company OMV received a similar notice. A spokesman for OMV did not say how much gas supplies would be cut, but he told the Vedomosti newspaper that the company would be able to fully compensate for the decrease in supplies from Russia.

Gazprom did not specify the reasons for the reduced supplies to the companies in the notification.

We would remind you that on Tuesday Gazprom announced about the forced reduction of gas supplies via "Nord Stream", because Siemens did not return the gas pumping unit from repairs. Due to technical problems, Gazprom has been pumping only up to 100 million cubic meters of gas per day instead of 167 million cubic meters per day as it used to do on Tuesday. And since the night of June 16, this volume dropped even more - to 67 million cubic meters per day.
