The U.S. has supplied more than 230 million doses of vaccines against viral diseases to African countries.
Speaking at the U.S.-Africa summit in Washington, U.S. President Joe Biden said that humanity will face another pandemic. He also noted that the United States has delivered 231 million doses of vaccines to 49 countries in Africa.
Biden noted that the U.S. has fought the spread of covid worldwide and is still building capacity to ensure universal access to health care. This is in order to prepare for "health challenges, including a new pandemic, and there will undoubtedly be one.
The U.S.-Africa partnership, Biden said, is the "key to success" for the entire global community. Biden pledged that the U.S. will continue to work to improve the infrastructure of the African continent.
