Sicily saw the second eruption of Europe's highest volcano in a week

Etna erupted on Wednesday evening, sending “stunning puffs of smoke” into the night sky. A video has emerged on social media showing puffs of smoke, debris and lava.

According to the source, flights at Catania airport were stopped in the city and several flights were postponed. The re-eruption occurred a week after the first one, which caused massive destruction.

Etna is considered the highest and most active volcano in Europe, it is located on the Sicilian coast. The volcano is included in the UNESCO heritage list.
