Since the beginning of the year 40,885 migrants arrived in the UK. Foreigners crossed the Channel on boats.
This was reported by the TV channel Sky News, citing the Ministry of Defense of the country.
In September the number of illegal migrants who arrived in the state since the beginning of the year across the Channel, exceeded the figure for the whole of last year.
On Saturday, 972 people crossed on 22 boats. August saw the highest number of monthly border violations since 2019.
Note that migrants try to cross the Channel and end up in Britain, where they are attracted by the social program, refugee status and benefits.
