COVAX is a program that brought many states together to give equal access to vaccines against COVID-19 to the most vulnerable segments of the population of participating countries.
The full name is the COVID-19 Vaccines Global Access. China has joined a group of more than 170 states and will purchase vaccine for one percent of its population that is 15 million, according to current data.
The COVAX program envisages that the costs of researching the coronavirus and creating a vaccine will be divided among the members of the group. The World Health Organization supports this program.
In China, there are already four vaccines today, which are in the last stage of trials.
