He will be charged with illegal possession of secret documents.
Former U.S. President Donald Trump will be arraigned Tuesday, June 13, by a court in Miami on a criminal charge of illegal possession of government classified documents. To stand trial, Trump flew from New Jersey to Florida.
CNN specifies that the trial will begin at 3 p.m. and could last two to three hours. There are no plans to arrest Donald Trump.
Recall, the indictment was posted on the electronic database of the Florida Southern District Court last week on Friday. Trump and his aide Walt Nault are charged by U.S. law enforcement with 38 counts. At his Mar-a-Lago estate in 2022, FBI agents seized dozens of documents, 17 of which were marked "top secret."
Trump called the charges against him an attempt by U.S. President Joe Biden to remove a rival from the race.
