The agreement between the countries, as the diplomat states, has already been signed.
US Ambassador to Kiev Brigitte Brink said in her account in the social network X that Washington will provide Ukraine with almost 140 million dollars for the modernization of air defense systems (air defense).
"Today we signed an agreement to provide Ukraine with $138 million for critical air defense modernization," the diplomat wrote.
Kiev, according to Brink, will be able, thanks to US aid, to keep its air defense systems operational amid Russian strikes on Ukraine's energy infrastructure.
Russian President Vladimir Putin called the strikes on Ukrainian energy facilities part of Ukraine's demilitarization.
