At a press conference, U.S. Presidential National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan said the White House was in favor of dialogue with China to reduce the risks in the military sphere between the two countries.

According to him, President Biden intends to address these issues in his conversation with Xi Jinping on the sidelines of the G20 summit in Indonesia.

"It's important to maintain channels of communication between our militaries so that we can avoid incidents, miscalculations, escalation, anything that could lead to conflict," Sullivan told reporters.

In addition, he said the U.S. authorities are concerned about strategic stability issues in the case of both Russia and China. He explained that Washington is an advocate of consistent dialogue between nations for greater security.
