Orban to meet Trump in Florida

The former US president did not ask the Hungarian prime minister to lay the groundwork for any peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban will hold a meeting with former United States President Donald Trump at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida. The meeting will take place after the NATO summit in Washington.

Orban has made several foreign visits in the past week to find ways to resolve the situation in Ukraine. On July 5, he discussed in Moscow with Russian President Vladimir Putin possible conditions for the start of peace talks.

Three days before that, the Hungarian prime minister visited Kiev, where he talked about it with Volodymyr Zelensky. After Orban visited Beijing. There he assured Chinese President Xi Jinping that he intends to continue his peacekeeping mission. He intends to raise this topic in Washington at the NATO summit.
