The Russian leader familiarized himself with new samples of military equipment.
Russian President Vladimir Putin, after a visit to Kazakhstan, where he held talks with the head of state Kasym-Jomart Tokayev, arrived in Rostov-on-Don and visited the headquarters of the Southern Military District (South Military District).
"Vladimir Putin, having completed his official visit to Astana, flew to Rostov, where he visited the headquarters of the Southern Military District," Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on November 10.
The head of state listened to reports of Russian army commanders on the progress of the special operation in Ukraine.
Putin was accompanied by Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu and Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov.
