The campaign to vaccinate children, which began on November 8, was announced by White House COVID-19 Coordinator Jeff Zints. The transcript of the briefing, as reported by RBK Group, was published on the website of the White House.

On October 29, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) expressed support for the use of the Pfizer / BioNTech vaccine for children, the White House coordinator said.

Then it was necessary to wait for approval from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), which authorized the use of the Pfizer baby drug on November 3. At the same time, according to Zints, the American authorities were preparing in advance for the start of the vaccination campaign, providing a supply for 28 million children.
