London commemorated red army soldiers who died in war

London held an event dedicated to the 76th anniversary of the USSR's victory in the Great Patriotic War.

Representatives of local authorities, foreign diplomats and city residents came to a park near the Imperial War Museum to lay wreaths at a memorial to Red Army soldiers and civilians killed during World War II, TASS writes.

Russian Ambassador Andrey Kelin said that preserving the memory of the fallen Red Army soldiers is the duty of all victorious countries. According to him, unlike some European countries, Great Britain does not allow itself to destroy monuments.

Kelyn stressed that history and the victory of the Soviet Union are taken seriously here.
