Hamas has not approved the draft truce with Israel

The radical Palestinian movement Hamas did not agree to the terms of the truce agreement in the Gaza Strip, which was negotiated in Paris. This was reported by Al Mayadeen.

According to the source, the agreement concerned the exchange of prisoners and hostages, but it did not include a ceasefire or IDF withdrawal. These are core issues for Hamas.

There is also no clause in the agreement confirming a ceasefire after the truce ends, and there is no guarantee that Israel will not start fighting again.

A new meeting will be held in Cairo in February to discuss the issue around Gaza comprehensively. Hamas will be briefed on the results, after which a final answer will be given.
