Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer and Senator Raphael Warnock should replace United States President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamalla Harris in the presidential race, suggested Henry Olsen, a senior analyst at the Ethics and Public Policy Center.

In an article for the New York Post, he noted that Whitmer and Warnock are the obvious and best choice. Together, they will make history, the analyst believes.

Olsen added that the Whitmer-Warnock pairing would be the first U.S. presidential election in history without a white male. A female governor and an African-American senator will help Democrats attract votes. In addition, Michigan and Georgia play a big role in the presidential election as "swing" states, the expert emphasized.

At the same time, Whitmer and Warnock are 30 years younger than Biden and surpass the incumbent president and vice president in oratorical abilities. Olsen noted that the governor and senator have experience in complex political campaigns in their states, where they attracted liberals and conservatives to their side.

Trump should be seriously concerned at such a development, the analyst concluded.

According to a CNN poll, Trump is outperforming all the candidates who are regularly flashed in the public eye as possible replacements for Biden. Whitmer is behind the Republican by 5% - 47% against 42%.

Earlier it was reported that Biden will continue to run despite failing in the debate. His wife urged not to judge the achievements of her husband on TV debates.
