NATO noted that the position of the alliance on the issue of strikes on Russia is unchanged.
At an informal meeting of NATO foreign ministers, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that Ukraine had the right to defend itself.
He commented on Kiev's possible attacks on Russian territory.
Additionally, Stoltenberg said that NATO would continue supporting Ukraine.
The alliance secretary-general added that this did not make NATO part of the conflict. According to him, the alliance wants to support Kiev, but not to allow military actions to expand beyond Ukraine.
Earlier, the Kremlin said that the West does not condemn the drone attack on Moscow.
Russian ambassador to Washington Antonov said that the White House's statements on the issue were worthless.
