Terrorists want to remove the United States from the Islamic world.
"Al-Qaeda (a terrorist organization banned in Russia) has threatened the United States with a massive war aimed at expelling the United States from the entire Islamic world, CNN writes. "Al-Qaeda supports the Taliban (a terrorist organization banned in Russia) in their actions against the United States.
The organization notes that the Taliban have promised Washington to sever ties with al-Qaeda, but the statement is disingenuous, as is the fact that the US will not withdraw troops from Afghanistan.
Al-Qaeda does not usually make contact with the media. CNN managed to get an interview through intermediaries. Terrorism expert Paul Krukshenk believes that the sides were only able to agree to talk because of US President Joe Biden's announcement of the withdrawal of US troops.
Some experts also link this to the anniversary of the death of Osama bin Laden, the organization’s founder. He died on the night of the 1st to the 2nd of May.
