Experts noted increase in cost of air tickets and reduction of tourist groups as the main reasons for price increase on trips to Russia.
The cost of tours to Russia for residents of China after the removal of the quarantine and the opening of the borders will be doubled, RIA Novosti reported citing travel industry experts.
Polina Rysakova, head of Laboratory of Chinese Tourism Research, reported that a tour to the Russian Federation for nine days used to cost Chinese tourists 6-8 thousand yuan, which is approximately 6,500-82,000 rubles. Now Chinese citizens will have to pay about 12-14 thousand yuans (123,000 - 143,000 rubbles) for such trip. Thus, tours to Russia are getting close in value to trips to European countries.
Experts noted increase in cost of air tickets and decrease of tourist groups as the main reasons for price increase on journeys to Russia. However according to specialists tours to Russia will still be very popular among Chinese people as they have no opportunity to go on vacation to EU countries. In addition, the quality of tours to Russia is gradually increasing.
