This was announced by the Minister of Tourism of the country Hristo Prodanov.
The first five months of the current year are quite successful for Bulgaria's tourism picture. The number of Russian tourists increased by 3.9 times.
The Ministry of Tourism noted that despite the difficult international situation and the lack of direct flights, Russian tour operators have not closed the tourist direction to Bulgaria.
"Everyone is ready to continue working and adapt to new conditions," Prodanov replied.
Bulgarian authorities added that Russian tourists continue to be issued visas without restrictions at the consular mission at the Bulgarian embassy in Moscow. Now the country plans to promote its tourism campaign in Belarus, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
Recall that Russian citizens can now travel to 53 countries, but direct flights are possible through: Georgia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Serbia and Turkey.
