Residents of a Spanish resort blocked the streets

Residents of the popular European resort of Menorca have decided to install chains on the streets in an attempt to scare away tourists. This is reported by the Daily Mail.

It was part of an ongoing struggle by locals in resort towns in Spain to cope with the growing influx of visitors. The photos show chains blocking the passage from one street to another.

Earlier it was reported that British tourists began to leave the Canary Islands in Spain because of protests against tourism and new visa restrictions. They were dissatisfied with the fact that according to the new rules of the European Union, they can stay on the islands of Europe for no more than 90 days.

Dissatisfaction with the consequences of mass tourism was also expressed by residents of the Canary Islands. In Tenerife they even went on hunger strike in protest. They argue that tourism destroys the island infrastructure, pollutes the sea and raises housing prices.

Earlier, the travel agent shared a list of countries where it is best to go without a visa, and also the blogger told what Egyptians do not accept in the vacation on the beach.
