In Russia, the occupancy rate of hotels in 2021 was 20% more than a year earlier. Room rates increased by 15%.
This was reported by Izvestia with reference to the Radisson Hotel Group (RHG). RHG expects room revenues to surpass the pre-pandemic 2019. The most stable growth was recorded in Sochi.
The representative of the group, Violetta Romero de Torres, noted that there is a tendency for all-season demand, in contrast to the year before last, where the skiing season in the mountains and summer beach holidays were more pronounced.
The RHG added that the recovery is fast, but uneven, as small, centrally located hotels have replaced the lack of demand through domestic tourism. At the same time, large congress hotels are under reconstruction due to a lack of activities.
