Bloomberg reports that in the first half of this year, the number of tourists on the island has increased by 60% compared to the same period in 2022 and amounted to 600 thousand people. Citizens of France became more by 60%, from Germany - by 36%, Russians - twice.
Due to this rise in tourist traffic, the income has also increased. The growth amounted to 70% - almost 780 million dollars. It is expected that for the year the income from tourism will grow to 80 billion rupees.
