Tourists began to cancel paid tours to Kaliningrad during the lockdown

Tourists have begun to cancel previously paid tours to the Kaliningrad region.

This is reported by the Association of Tour Operators.

It is noted that at present about 20% of tourists refused to go to Kaliningrad from November 1 to 7. According to experts, this figure may rise up to 30%.

Most of the travelers will have to deal with the airlines in order to get their money back. Tours to Kaliningrad imply exclusively air transportation.

"The airline may not regard the lockdown as force majeure, because there is no ban on entering the region," said Dolphin CEO Sergei Romashkin.

Earlier, the Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Kaliningrad Region Andrei Yermak said that 80% of the hotels were booked during the lockdown.

"To say that there is some kind of general cancellation of reservations, there is no such thing. I do not see this," - said the functionary.
