The hotel booking service Ostrovok has shared statistics according to which Russian tourists who prefer to organize their holidays without the mediation of travel agencies prefer to go to Belarus, Abkhazia, Turkey and Thailand. Also in the top ten most popular destinations include France and Spain.
It is noted that although the percentage of foreign bookings is traditionally low, but it has increased relative to 2023 by 72%. If last year they were only 8% of all bookings, in 2024 already 12%. But half of the total volume of bookings falls on the CIS countries.
Earlier it was reported that in 2024 the cost of vacation in Turkey on average even decreased.
Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko said that the number of foreign tourists in Russia has increased by 50% over the past two years.
