This year's Shrovetide festivities will take place from March 8 to 14. Analysts have found out where Russians will go on vacation on these days.
Thus, the most popular destinations are Yalta, Sochi, Sheregesh, Dombai, as well as St. Petersburg, Pyatigorsk, Lahdenpohja, Novosibirsk, Kazan and Suzdal.
Experts note that Russians go on holiday at this time for two to seven days. They will spend anywhere from 1200 to 13,000 rubles per night. Travelers book hotels more often (more than 50% of tourists), as well as flats and houses.
Most tourists go to Pancake Day in pairs (46%). Less popular are vacations by companies, singles and families.
