The Government of Egypt has changed the rules for Russian tourists to enter the country: now the unvaccinated Russians will not be deported, even if they have no documents on vaccination.
Representatives of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia announced that since January 22, in order to enter Egypt, unvaccinated tourists must have a certificate of a negative test result for COVID-19 or the negative results of PCR test taken not more than 72 hours ago. A rapid antigen test performed no more than 24 hours ago is also acceptable.
Tourists who have had their PCR test expired due to flight delays will be able to have a repeat rapid test done at the airport.
There is also a vaccination certificate approved by the WHO or APE Ministry of Health, this rule does not apply to children under the age of 12.
Travelers who test positive for coronavirus can remain in Egypt, provided they comply with self-exclusion for five days.
A person can be deported if Egyptian authorities have doubts about the authenticity of the vaccination or test documents presented.
