As a result of the collapse of the Greek travel agency, almost 27 thousand Russians cannot get their money back for tours to Greece.
Greek tour operator Mouzenidis Travel Greece closed in June 2021 and cancelled tours. Federal Agency for Tourism has calculated the losses of Russian tourists amounted to almost 18 million euros.
Russian Federal Agency for Tourism stood up to protect affected Russians and called an emergency meeting, writes RBK Group.
The conflict must be resolved by November 15th. Otherwise, the tour operator will be excluded from the Unified Federal Register. In this case, Russian tourists have every chance of not receiving compensation.
The situation with the closure of the Greek travel agency remains tense, the Russians are suing Mouzenidis Travel Greece for cancelled tours and demanding a refund.
