Charter flight from Chelyabinsk to the resorts of Egypt was canceled by tour operators.
Olga Vasilyeva, a representative of the Chelyabinsk Association of Tourist Organizations, told Ura.ru that tours to Hurghada and Sharm el-Sheikh from Yekaterinburg continue, but flights to Chelyabinsk have been suspended.
The reason for canceling the flights was the conflict between Israel and the Gaza Strip. It should be noted that most tour operators offered tours from Chelyabinsk to Egyptian resorts, with the exception of Biblio Globus. The last charter flight from Chelyabinsk to Egypt departed on November 14.
The Central Air Transport Agency confirmed that there were no regular flights from Chelyabinsk, only charter flights. The airport's schedule retained information about a flight to Sharm el-Sheikh, but the availability of the flight program is currently unknown.
Anex Tour was the consolidator of the charter flight, which was operated three times a month by Azur Air, said Olesya Zavarukhina, director of Aviatour tour company.
Reduced demand for tours to Egypt has led to a drop in vacation prices. According to Vasilieva, the tour for six nights for two people costs from 75 thousand rubles with accommodation in a five-star hotel and all-inclusive system. A tour for nine nights will cost from 96 thousand rubles. Zavarukhina also noted affordable options for tourists with flights from Kostanay, where some dates offer budget tours with airport transfers.
Recall that Russians have become more interested in another Arab country for travel.
