Maya Lomidze, executive director of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR), said on November 23 that ski resorts in the Krasnodar Territory are leading among those regions where Russians book New Year's tours.
Meanwhile, as Lomidze notes, booking this year is slower than in 2019. This is due to the fact that Russians doubt whether the trip will take place due to the pandemic. However, expensive New Year's tours have already been sold out in Russia.
The top five included popular tourist sites in the Krasnodar Territory, Altai and Buryatia. The leaders were also Sheregesh in the Kemerovo region and Khibina in the Murmansk region.
The expert believes that the peak reservation will have to be at the end of November and the beginning of December. This year, charters have been organized in Sheregesh and Khibina, which will reduce the cost of New Year's tours in these destinations.
