Russians have started vacationing in Kyrgyzstan en masse. The demand for trips to the country has almost doubled. This was reported to RTN by a representative of the tour operator Alean.
Tourists choose vacation on the Issyk-Kul lake. It is possible to fly there from Russian cities by direct flights. Thus, there are direct flights from Yekaterinburg and Moscow to Tamchy airport. It is closer to the lake than Bishkek, Alean Commercial Director Oksana Bulakh explained.
The main tourist flow is made up of residents of Russian regions closest to the border. They travel by bus or car. Demand for excursions has decreased, as vacation at Issyk-Kul is not combined with them. Usually they take place in Bishkek.
Tour operator "Russian Express" noted that the demand for recreation in Kyrgyzstan has increased by 60% compared to the year before. Tourists go for treatment in sanatoriums on Lake Issyk-Kul, explained Anna Filatovskaya, director of the company's advertising and PR department.
Ural Airlines will launch direct flights to the capital of Kyrgyzstan from Kazan. The airplane will fly on Saturdays. Travel time will take a little over three hours.
Earlier it was reported that the summer season in the Turkish city of Alanya is going through a difficult time as the number of tourists from Russia has decreased.
