South Africa opens borders for foreign tourists since October 1

First of all, the opportunity to visit the country will be open to travelers from countries with low levels of coronavirus infections. South African citizens will also be able to leave the country.

The opening of the borders was informed by the President of the Republic Cyril Ramaphosa. "We will gradually ease restrictions on international travel," he explained.

It is specified that South Africa will be opened only for tourists with a low level of coronavirus spread.

Later it is planned to publish a list of countries from where entry into the republic is allowed.

Foreign tourists will have the opportunity to fly to one of the three airports in South Africa: Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban.

All arrivals must comply with the condition: the presence of negative results of the PCR test for coronavirus.
