On March 5, 2022, the passenger liner Astoria Grande will begin its first cruise season from Sochi, as reported by representatives of the Israeli Ministry of Tourism.
Already on March 5, 2022 the liner Astoria Grande will start its first cruise season from Sochi. The cost of the cruise will start from 1274 euros per person. It is planned that the liner will operate the whole year round.
During the first two-week cruise tourists will be able to visit cities of different countries, among which is Haifa. It is located in northern Israel, on the slopes of Mount Carmel. It has the largest port in the country, there you can also see the famous Bahai Gardens and the Temple of the Bab.
Later cruises to Israel, Greece, Turkey and Egypt are organized.
The cruise liner was purchased from the German AIDA Cruises in June 2021. Previously it was called AIDACara. In January the ship underwent a complete reconstruction at the shipyard in Turkish Yalova, now the liner is in Novorossiysk.
The ship will be operated by the Russian shipping company Aquilon and the hotel and restaurant facilities will be provided by the international company Sea Chefs.
