Foreign tourists in Italy destroy centuries-old heritage

CNN reported on the antics of foreign tourists in Italy who behave like vandals.

It is noted that this year the number of foreign visitors to Italy increased by a record 172% compared to 2021. However, instead of joy from such a number of tourists the Italian authorities have not got a headache.

Tourists from quite civilized countries behave like savages.

Australian and American citizens were spotted bathing in the canals of Venice. And the Americans were doing so naked near the Venice Arsenal.

Two U.S. citizens threw their scooters off the famous Spanish Steps in Rome, causing $25,000 worth of damage. And a traveler from Saudi Arabia drove a rental car down the stairs, ruining two steps.

An American smashed two statues at the Vatican Museum, becoming enraged because he couldn't see the Pope. Two of his compatriots were caught trying to scrawl their names on the Arch of Augustus.
