Dubai Airport, from which thousands of tourists could not fly due to floods in the UAE, has partially resumed operations.
According to the Associated Press, the airport has again allowed flights to operate from Terminal One. However, passengers are asked to come to the first terminal only if there is a confirmed reservation, as flights still continue to be delayed.
Flights from UAE airports were halted on Tuesday, April 16 due to heavy rainfall. Heavy downpours caused roads to flood. The level of precipitation in Dubai reached more than 120 mm, and it became simply impossible to reach some places.
According to April 17, about five thousand Russians are stuck in the UAE because of the emergency. Even yesterday, people complained that they were not allowed to eat and drink, because the staff was not prepared for such conditions. Emergency check-in somewhere was not possible. Some hotels have become inaccessible due to impassable roads, accidents and partial destruction, and somewhere all rooms are already occupied.
