Turkey remains the most popular holiday destination for Russian tourists who decide to organize their vacation without the help of travel agencies. At the same time, refusing their services dramatically increases the chances of encountering fraudsters.
It has become known that Russian tourists who do not use the services of tour operators, but organize their own holidays abroad, most often visit Turkey, Thailand and Vietnam, but in most cases go on trips within Russia.
Such data is shared by insurance companies and services that book rooms and tickets. Earlier it was noted that single tourists often go on vacation either in Russia or within the CIS. Then this was reported by the hotel booking service “Ostrovok”.
Now it follows from the statistics of “Rosgosstrakh” that this summer 57% of insurance falls on those who went to Turkey, and insurance for travel in Russia only 15% of people, and in China - 6.5%. About it writes the publication “Izvestia”. After the abolition of covid restrictions, the tourist flow is only increasing.
Experts note that people who organize their own vacations, greatly risk their safety, and not so much physical as financial. An attempt to save money may lead to a collision with fraudsters.
