Recently, there have been more and more cases when Russians come to Mexico with the purpose of crossing the border with the USA.
Mexican border crossings have become less frequent for citizens of other countries, including Russia. The main reason for this is the cases of illegal migration from this country to the U.S., which have increased recently. This was reported by the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR).
It is worth noting that the Mexican partners of tour operators have confirmed this information. In addition, it is reported that the border inspection rules have been tightened. However, the introduction of any new restrictions at the moment is not possible.
Also ATOR added that according to the data provided by the Mexican authorities, in recent years, more and more cases have occurred when the Russians come to Mexico with the purpose of crossing the border to the USA and with the purpose of further illegal stay in America.
To curb such attempts, the border authorities have now become more thorough in checking for the necessary documents, including the presence of a return ticket.
