Leaving the overcrowded resorts this year has proved difficult: return tickets at normal prices are almost impossible to find. In the media and social networks there are screenshots of sales sites where the cost of a seat on a train from Anapa reaches 86-92 thousand rubles, and cheaper options are available only with a transfer in Kursk.

Mostly Russians go by car or get to the resorts by air via Sochi and Minvody. However, about 15% of tourists prefer trains. According to Russian Railways, tickets to the south of Russia are on sale several hundred thousand more than in 2023. A total of 36 thousand flights to the south and back are planned for the season. However, demand far exceeded supply.

“Parliamentary Gazette” tried to find tickets on the website of Russian Railways from Anapa to Moscow for August 30, but without success. The only option is to leave a request in the waiting list in case of a ticket surrender.

On a popular aggregator for the same date and direction the cheapest seats are sold out, but there are offers from 7 to 11 thousand rubles with connections in Orel or Syzran. There was no option with a transfer in Kursk.

There was also a shocking offer from 89.3 thousand rubles with a transfer in Rostov. The journey will take more than a day, but most of it can be spent in a separate compartment with a shower.

The press service of the Federal Passenger Company, a subsidiary of Russian Railways, explained that tickets for 80-90 thousand rubles are tickets with transfers to SV and luxury cars. And the price corresponds to the class of service.

The options are selected automatically from what is available, and the passenger can choose from a set of options himself, the company specified. The problem is that there are few options.

FAS regulates fares, but not in all segments. Deregulated tariffs in compartments, SV and luxury, as well as seated cars of high-speed trains are set without regard to antimonopoly authorities.

However, the company assured that they are not trying to profit from the demand. The carrier specified that in the regulated and deregulated segments tariffs are indexed in accordance with the forecast of socio-economic development of the country. In 2024, tariffs are indexed by 10.75%.

The price of travel in SV and suite depends on the category of the train, time of year, day of the week, time of departure and arrival, the number of available seats and especially the period of ticket purchase, the company emphasized.

They advised to buy tickets in advance, several months before the trip.

Earlier it was reported that tourists can not leave Anapa from the shortage of tickets and exorbitantly increased prices for the number of them, which is dosed to the market carriers.
