Georgia is introducing new rules for tourists entering the country. They will come into effect as early as June 1 of this year. According to the Association of Tour Operators (ATOR) of Russia, from this date all tourists will have to have medical insurance, which will be valid for the entire period of stay in the country. Violators of the rule will be fined approximately 110 dollars.

According to MK, for Russian tourists, the innovation will not cause much trouble, as tours are usually issued through a travel agency, which automatically issues insurance. But for those who are used to traveling “savages”, the new requirement may create minor inconveniences.

Recall that Georgia has recently set new records. More than 930 thousand tourists from Turkey, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Israel and a number of other countries visited this Caucasian republic, which is 11% more than in the same period last year.
