More than 250 thousand tourists are going to come to the mountain resorts of Sochi for the New Year.
The press service of the mayor's office of Sochi reports that more than 250 thousand tourists are expected at the resort during the New Year holidays.
Inna Petukhova, deputy mayor of Sochi, warns that sanitary and epidemiological protection measures against COVID-19 during this period will be strengthened: the cabins on the lifts will be processed every three hours, in the queues to the elevators in the landing areas will be installed restrictive barriers, there may be restrictions on the sale of ski passes in the morning and evening during the mass climbing and descending of skiers. All current hotel check-in rules will also apply.
"We understand the full extent of the responsibility. For the second year in a row, the health resort industry is working under the pandemic of coronavirus," noted Petukhova.
