In February, tourists will spend an average of 20% less on holidays in Egypt than in last year's winter season. The affordability of the destination can be explained by several factors.

Dmitry Gorin, vice-president of the Russian Union of Travel Industry, notes that now Russians prefer to change their usual environment in the resorts of Turkey, UAE or Thailand. Demand for Egypt is falling, so prices for vouchers are becoming more budget-friendly.

Artur Muradyan, vice-president of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia, agrees with Gorin's opinion. He cites the data of economic calculations of his colleagues and notes that tours to Egypt are now significantly cheaper than last year. The average price barrier is 110-120 thousand rubles.

The reasons for such a "solid" drop in prices for Egyptian tours - the "nearby" conflict in Israel. Hotels in Egypt, especially in Sharm el-Sheikh, this winter season can not boast the lack of available rooms. Moreover, experts note that the flow of tourists from European countries has decreased, while Russian tourists react calmly to the events in Israel.
