In Turkey, hotels want to abandon the popular all-inclusive system

In an effort to offer tourists the lowest possible price, some hotels skimp on the quality of food, drinks and service. Limited choice of food and entertainment often makes the vacation monotonous, and tourists find themselves «trapped» within the walls of the hotel.

The all-inclusive system has long been a hallmark of Turkish tourism, attracting millions of tourists with its promise of carefree vacations and affordable prices. However, according to the Turkish edition of Hurriyet, this model is now facing serious criticism. Representatives of the travel business and experts are beginning to realize that it is time to rethink the approach to the organization of recreation.

Critics of the all-inclusive system point to several fundamental problems that undermine its appeal. First, the desire to offer the lowest possible prices forces hotels to skimp on the quality of food, drinks and service. This leads to a monotonous and predictable vacation. Tourists choosing this format often find themselves "locked" in the hotel walls, deprived of the opportunity to get acquainted with the local culture, traditions and cuisine.

Secondly, the all-inclusive system has a negative impact on the environment. The constant consumption of resources such as water and electricity, as well as the generation of waste in hotels creates additional pressure on nature. Local ecosystems suffer from overuse of resources, which can lead to serious environmental problems in the long run.

In addition, all-inclusive tourists rarely visit local restaurants, stores and attractions. This results in lower incomes for the local population and negatively affects the economies of regions dependent on tourism. Local entrepreneurs who could benefit from the flow of tourists are left without customers, which creates additional economic hardship.

One of the main problems of the all-inclusive system is that it deprives tourists of the opportunity to shape their individual vacations. Many travelers want to choose for themselves what they are interested in, whether it is excursions, culinary master classes or visiting local attractions. However, under an all-inclusive system, they don't have that option, making vacations less rich and varied.

Instead of abandoning the all-inclusive system altogether, many experts suggest a shift to more flexible models that allow travelers to design their own program. Such approaches may include combining hotel services with the ability to book excursions, local restaurants and stores. This would not only enrich the experience of tourists, but also support local economies.

Recently, Russian tourists have noticed a significant rise in the price of Turkish resorts. However, against this background, there is increased attention to travel to China, which is becoming a substitute for the traditional resorts of Turkey. The number of trips to China for six months of this year amounted to more than 405 thousand.
