North Korea, which has long remained closed to most tourists, now offers Russians a vacation at the new Wonsan resort. In just a few years, a modern tourist complex with a water park, beaches and hotels has appeared on the site of a former military base. As journalists found out, a week's tour will cost 1800 dollars, including flight, accommodation and excursions.

Wonsan resort impresses with its infrastructure: perfect roads, a new airport and railroad connection. Hotel rooms cost about 90 dollars per night, and meals cost 10 dollars per meal. At the same time, tourists note the polite staff and the availability of all necessary amenities, from kettles to mini-bars with local drinks, writes karelia.news.

Despite rumors of total control, the rest in North Korea turned out to be more comfortable than many expected. True, entry into the country still requires a PCR test, and the movement of tourists is limited. Nevertheless, for lovers of exoticism and unusual experiences, it can be a unique trip.
