St. Petersburg opens a new way for Russian tourists wishing to travel to Europe.
Starting from December 10, flights to more than 10 countries, including Berlin, Munich, Vienna, Paris, Nice and Larnaca, with connections in Tbilisi are available from here. This was reported by the press-service of "Air Gateway of the Northern Capital" LLC.
Flights from Pulkovo airport to Tbilisi will be operated twice a week - on Wednesdays and Sundays, on Boeing 737, the Pulkovo airport management company said in a statement. This means that Russians will now be able to easily get to popular European cities, avoiding overcrowding at the Finnish border.
Earlier, Finland closed most of the border crossing points with Russia, leaving only one open. Russians and Finns still have access through the Raja-Joseppi point.
