Since the beginning of the year more than 34 million people traveled in Russia. It is expected that by the end of the year this figure will be 61 million, said the head of Rostourism Zarina Doguzova.
"The industry continues to recover well. As for the domestic tourist flow: we have already had more than 34 million people rested in the country, it is more than last year, and even slightly more than in prepandemic 2019, by the end of 2022 we expect a tourist flow of 61 million people, ”said Doguzov.
The Head of Rostourism noted that the system of tourist flow has changed for two years, which means that the turnover of the domestic tourism industry may exceed the index of 2021 by 1 trillion rubles.
Recall that last year 56 million people traveled in Russia. Those trips that involve overnight stays and accommodation in hotels or guest houses were taken into account.
