Experts believe this is due to a desire to experience a sense of fear without being exposed to danger.

The publication Turprom writes that tourists are increasingly attracted to places associated with death and suffering. Experts believe that this attraction is explained by the desire to experience a sense of fear without being exposed to a real threat, as well as to experience strong emotions from involvement with something frightening, dark and unknown.

One of the most popular tourist destinations is the Nazi concentration camp Auschwitz-Birkenau in Poland, the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone and the city of Pripyat in Ukraine. Tours of battlefields, whether of the Civil War in the United States or World War II in Normandy, are also very popular.

And while some see it as something sacred, for others it is just as much entertainment as any other. Such tourists can violate the rules of behavior in such places by posting humorous photos or videos on social networks.

Earlier it was reported that tourists vacationing in Egypt, Thailand and Turkey, warned of the terrorist danger.

The authorities of Adygea said that they were going to double the number of tourists in the republic by 2028.
