Russia wants to build two tourist centers on Lake Baikal and in Crimea

Russia announced plans to build two new tourist centers on Lake Baikal and in Crimea.

According to the Meister telegram channel, it was proposed to build a world-class resort on Lake Baikal, the cost of which will exceed 160 billion rubles. A whole tourist city with a population of 50 thousand people will be deliberately built in Crimea.

It is noted that due to the pandemic, Russian citizens have had to plan their holidays within the country for almost 2 years. But despite the great potential, the tourism industry in the state is not yet able to meet the recreational needs of the population.

In this regard, the need to implement such projects has ripened for a long time: people will always want to be treated and rest, and there is no way to predict whether the borders will be open in a year. For this reason, it is planned to develop its own tourist zones, since the money that citizens previously spent abroad will remain in Russia.
