Thailand's COVID-19 Situation Management Center has approved relaxation measures for inbound tourists, which came into effect on January 11.

Thus, under the "Sandbox" program, guests of the country can again choose the region where they will be in the first seven days of the trip. The provinces of Krabi, Phan Nga and Surat Thani were added to the island of Phuket (Samui, Phangan and Tao Islands only).

Representatives of the Thai Tourism Authority noted that to enter Thailand tourists must:

- Issue a Thai Pass entry permit;

- book a hotel from the approved list of SHA + for a seven-day stay in the country;

- Make advance payment for two PCR tests;

- Purchase a $50,000 insurance policy that includes treatment for the coronavirus. That is, the rules of entry into the kingdom remained the same.

Also, all tourists over the age of six must provide a certificate of a negative PCR test conducted no earlier than 72 hours before departure when entering Thailand.
