Israel has accelerated the construction of new hotel complexes and hotels. This process is initiated by the Ministry of Tourism of Israel in cooperation with the Land Authority of Israel, RIA Novosti reported citing the press service of the Tourism Authority.

Israeli Tourism Minister Yoel Razvozzov noted that during the pandemic, the work to increase hotel room capacity in the country was carried out slowly - only five thousand new rooms appeared.

Now the Ministry of Tourism plans to erect more than eight thousand new suites by the end of 2023.

Also Joel Razvozzov said that he has a goal - to increase tourist flow to 10 million people per year by 2030. This, according to the minister, can be achieved through the successful marketing of land plots intended for hotel construction.

Tenders are now open in Israel for the construction of hotel complexes in Ashkelon, Kiryat Shmona, Kiryat Motzkin and Katzrin. They will add 770 rooms in the north, 2,100 in the south and 1,650 at the Dead Sea.
