Sochi and Krasnodar are among the top three most popular destinations for travel during the March holidays, according to both air and rail bookings.
Sochi accounted for 6.2% of air tickets and 2.1% of rail tickets, which is the third highest in the country. Krasnodar ranked third among railroad destinations with 4.1% of tickets.
Moscow remains the most popular air destination (18.8%), followed by St. Petersburg (8.4%) and Kaliningrad (3%).
Abroad, Russians most often travel to Uzbekistan (18.55%), Azerbaijan (13.6%) and Armenia (10.92%).
Overall, domestic travel accounts for 79.7% of air bookings and 97.38% of rail travel.
