The head of the European Tourism Commission, Eduardo Santander, announced plans to open borders for tourists from Russia this spring.
Eduardo Santander, executive director of the European Commission for Tourism, believes that EU countries will be able to open their borders to Russians in the coming spring, reports Izvestia. He noted that there is still a problem of lack of approval of the vaccine Sputnik V.
According to him, the situation is also complicated by the omicron strain that has spread. At the same time, Santander stressed that Russian tourists are very important because 74% of their trips come to Europe.
